The House on Christmas Street Tour 2012

I'm in the very beginning planning stages of "The House on Christmas Street Tour 2012" where I will be traveling around the US (and possible the UK and Canada) performing in concert on the lawns and in the driveways of homeowners who use "The House on Christmas Street" in their displays.
For the first tour, back in 2010, I asked the general public to contribute to an "expense fund' and actually collected enough money to pay for my expenses. I don't really feel comfortable doing that again, so, this year, the model for the tour this year is a little different.

This year, I would like all hosts to work on securing me a paid booking while I am in their town. This could be on the day of your concert or the following day.  This will cover my expenses and (hopefully) not cost you a dime.  In fact, you wouldn't even have to provide lodging as I will cover that out of the fee for whatever show you book.  The venue pays for their show, and your show is FREE.

   Here are the possibilities:

1.  A theater or performing arts center.
Most likely, this sort of venue would want to book an evening concert either the day before or the day after your show.  They would charge admission to the concert;  my fee (paid by them) would be $600 for one performance and out of that I would cover the two night's hotel.

2.  The second option is for you to set up a concert assembly at a local elementary school.  This concert would take place the day of your evening concert or the morning after.  As many public elementary schools won't do a Christmas concert, please let them know that I offer a variety of educational assembly concerts which may be found here: http://judypancoast.com/literacy_through_music.htm)  The school would be responsible for paying my $400 assembly fee.  (they pay assembly performers all the time, so this will not be news.).   If you are going to try this, you should call the school and asks who books their "enrichment" programs, or talk to someone on the PTA.  Of course you can give them my contact info if they want to talk to me personally!

3.  Other concert options:   a program at a library (I've done hundreds of library programs over the years: http://judypancoast.com/libraries.htm).  I usually charge libraries around $350.  I also do daycare programs, although I've never found a daycare that could afford $400.  However, if we time it right, I could do two programs at daycares during the day and still do a concert at your house that night.
If there is some sort of a community Christmas celebration in your town I would love to be a part of that as well, if they have a budget to pay performers.

So, bottom line is, I'd like to make $300-$400 at every stop, and I don't want you to have to pay for it and I don't want it to come out of your charity either.
